At the beginning of January in Berlin tranditionally every year a demonstration is held to commemorate the three communist leaders, V.I. Lenin, Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. Also this year there were about 3000 demonstrators, who did not let themselves be stopped by Corona measures from going on the street to hold high the work and heritage of those three communists!
Since the cruel murder of Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg in 1919, there is every year a strong and powerful demonstration in Germany in commemoration of the communist leaders and for the struggle for socialist revolution. Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg were murdered on the 15th of January in 1919, in the demonstrations for the victims in January 1919, there were 100.000 people on the graveyard to commemorate the murdered communist leaders. Only in the years of German fascism, between 1933 and 1945 the demonstrations were not held. After the death of Lenin in 1924 the demonstration was called "LLL" demonstration, for Lenin, Liebknecht and Luxemburg. Because of that history and significance of the commemoration and demonstration on that date, it was even more important to hold and defend that demonstration also this year, despite the attacks of the ruling classes at the right of assambly.
Under a pretended reason (because of a flag) it came this year to a brutal attack of the police. Batons and pepper spray were used and 30 people were arrested. For more than two hours the German authorities harassed the demonstrators. How many were injured is not yet known. Apparently, this was done to intimidate all those participants who took part in the demonstration despite the measures taken.
But the revolutionaries and activists answered this attack with great determination and steadfastness! They stood shoulder to shoulder to defend and struggle for the demonstration.
Long live the Lenin, Liebknecht and Luxemburg!
