FRANCE - Huge protests against new police law

A new police law is to come into force in France, which is to offer the policemen "more" protection. With recording of police operations it is to give punishments of a year prison or a punishment of 45.000€.

Shortly after it became known that this law would come into force, it became clear that this law is an antidemocratic and fascist law. Two videos were published in Social Media, where you can see police violence. The first video shows how the police brutally cleared a refugee camp. The second shows police brutalizing a black man. With this new law, the police officers are given any freedom to use violence against the people.

As a result, there were large protests in various cities to demonstrate against this fascist law. In Paris alone, 46,000 people were on the streets and in total throughout France up to 133,000.
