Under a joint appeal against the planned massacre of poor peasants in Brazil, various democratic and antiimperialist personalities united in Austria.
"As democratic individuals, we stand firmly against the criminalization of the struggle of poor and landless peasants for land and declare our solidarity with the struggling peasants of Brazil and their organization, the League of Poor Peasants (LCP)." reads a joint appeal released by the initiative. This is supported very broadly, by individuals such as journalists, authors, trade unionists and also initiatives from the religious sector.
