On the 11th and 12th of July was held the NATO summit conference at Brussels. About 15 organizations mobilized to a demonstration on the 7th of July.
They oppose NATO and its war policy, and the NATO demand that countries spend 2% of their GDP on their military and the modernization of nuclear weapons. Currently three NATO countries (USA, France, Great Britain) are nuclear powers. The USA have nuclear weapons stationed in Europe in Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Turkey.
Especially in EU countries, also they resist PESCO (Permanent Structured Cooperation), the new military alliance of 25 EU countries leading to an European Army. The NATO conference focusing also to expansion there imperialistic military alliance, they invited Macedonia for accession talks. The arming and the efforts getting new NATO members shows us that the imperialists are getting more between imerpialistic contradictions. So they need the EU alliance and new forces to withstand the russian imperialists.
The protest brought about 2000 people on the street - against NATO and the imperialistic war!
