"A large contingent of Police force launched a massive combing operation ...", these kind of headlines are filling the reactionary press at the moment. Still, the Communist Party of India (Maoist), the target of this armed suppression, is making advances.
Cadres of the CPI(Maoist) killed a contractor, called Sukumar Mondal, at Goliaguda village in Malkangiri District of Odisha on December 17. Contractors, who claim to bring developement to rural India and the areas the party has influence in, but build roads for the old Indian state's troops to transport weapons and the imperialist companies to exploit the masses and the country.
The party's Malkangiri Divisional Committee secretary Kailasam on December 15 released an audio clip alleging that the cadres Mallesh and Santhamma were killed in fake encounters in the District on December 13. They were tortured and killed. He also stated that two more cadres are in the custody of the SOG and demanded that they be produced in court immediately. The Centre- and the State government are trying to establish camps and armed outposts in the areas of the Adivasi, where the party is strong. This is an attack on the Adivasi, Indias oppressed natives, as it is on the revolutionaries.
Cadres of the Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Special Zonal Committee (MMCSZC) later, on December 21, put up pamphlets warning of avenging the deaths of three (!) fellow cadres in Police encounters, as the reactionary media reports. The Martyrdom of these comrades will not go unavenged.
