In the following we report on the news of the People's War in India in July 2020:
According to police reports, a large CPI (Maoist) camp took place in late June / early July in the Samardbandha forest in Odisha state. Due to tips from sympathizers, the camp could be ended in time. Literature and banners were left behind.
At the beginning of July, the Indian media reported of extensive and successful recruitment campaigns by the CPI (Maoist) in the forests of Sarjamburu in the state of Jharkhand. According to the rulers, the “Maoist activities” in these districts were “almost eliminated”. The rulers also confirmed that there is now increasing sympathy and support for the CPI (Maoist) among the villagers. Furthermore, posters from the party can increasingly be found in these districts!
The CPI (Maoist) offensive continues in the state of Chhattisgarh. The attacks on the security forces are intensifying!
It has now been officially reported by the police that ten districts in Odisha are under the control of the CPI (Maoist). The following districts are affected: Koraput, Malkangir, Rayagda, Bargarh, Balangir, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Kandhamal and Sundargarh.
In mid-July, twelve buildings belonging to the Ministry of Forestry were blown up in Jharkhand state, West Singhbhum district. A wall poster was also left asking the Ministry of Forestry to leave the resources to the forest residents.
During the same period, a street was blown up in the same district and 13 vehicles were set on fire.
At the same time there was a skirmish between the CPI (Maoist) and the security forces in Telangana. There was also an ambush by the security forces in the forest in the Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, which was successfully averted. Now bounties have been set on specifically five cadres and 500 employees of greyhounds, an elite anti-Naxal troop, have been set on the search.
Also in the state of Odisha, along the border between Andhra and Odisha, there was an exchange of fire between the CPI (Maoist) and the Odisha police. It became known that a meeting of cadres of the Border Zones Committee should have been attacked. The security forces were successfully repulsed.
On July 19, the security forces attacked the state of Andhra Pradesh, which resulted in an exchange of fire between them and the CPI (Maoist) that lasted 30 minutes. The local village of Landalu in Ginnelakota Panchayat is considered to have been under the control of the CPI (Maoist) for a long time.
On July 20, the reactionaries announced that they would now intensify attacks and search operations in the Andhra-Odisha border region, following reports that a member of the Central Committee was in the area.
On July 20, the Telangana State Committee of the CPI (Maoist) called for a bandh on July 25, demanding the immediate release of Varavara Rao and all political prisoners. They also sent media organizations a statement calling on the Telangana State Committee to release Varavara Rao and all political prisoners immediately.
On July 21, two vehicles, a tractor and a road roller, were set on fire by the CPI (Maoist) in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telanga state. The vehicles were used to build a road in the border region to Chhattisgarh.
On July 23, the CPI (Maoist) called for Martyrs' Week to be held from July 28 to August 3. The call also included the celebration of the birthday of Charu Mazumdar and all the martyrs. From July 2019 to July 2020, 16 Maoists were murdered in Andhra and Odisa alone.
On July 25, before the start of the Martyrs Week, streets in Tamilawada and Chintagupa were dug up by the revolutionaries to disrupt traffic in Andhra Pradesh, according to the bourgeois media.
On July 25, a tractor was set on fire and parts of a street were dug up in counties in Telangana state. Furthermore, Varavara Rao was requested to release immediately and the greyhounds to be withdrawn immediately.
On July 27th, audio clips were distributed by the CPI (Maoist) in Chhattisgarh State. These spread speeches and songs in the local dialects in order to mobilize the inhabitants in these areas.
On the same day, the CPI (Maoist) launched an offensive in a Chhattisgarh Armed Force camp and killed a CAF soldier.
The bourgeois media reported that despite heightened security measures by the reactionaries, the CPI (Maoist) were able to hold the Martyrs Week. A meeting was held with residents in around 15 villages in Odisha near the border with Andhra Pradesh. At this meeting, the villagers were informed by the revolutionaries and communists that the planned bridge and road construction would not serve their well-being, but that it would be easier for the reactionaries to plunder the natural resources in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
Despite the continued and increasing attempts of reaction to ambush the revolutionaries and communists of the CPI (Maoist) and put an end to their struggle, the measures of support and solidarity among the people towards the CPI (Maoist) are increasing and control of the CPI (Maoist) bigger in more and more areas.
