In October of last year, four militants of the CPI(Maoist) were killed in an encounter in the Karnataka-Kerala-Tamil Nadu (KKT) tri-junction area of India, and one, comrade Deepak, was arrested.
Now that the case of comrade Deepak is unfolding, the reactionary media is getting more and more hysterical. Comrade Deepak is a senior cadre from Bastar in Chattisgarh. Bastar, the stronghold of the CPI(Maoist), has been described by the reactionary press as more or less isolated. It is a shock to them, that a senior cadre from this area could make his way to the KKT/area in the south and work among the natives there for five years without getting caught.
Comrade Deepak is himself an Adivasi, a native from Bastar, one of the most neglected areas of India. Yet he is a very high ranking cadre, who was involved in some of the biggest actions the CPI(Maoist) has made, like the April 2010 Dantewada attack in which 76 CRPF personnel were killed.
In jail, Comrade Deepak has not been broken by the police’s sinister forms of interrogation. They even let him be interrogated by former comrades, that have left the way of revolution and surrendered to the old Indian state’s troops. But also faced with such weak elements, comrade Deepak did not talk, but instead he chanted “Inquilab Zindabad”. An inspiration for all revolutionaries that faced with repression, one should hold ones spirit up.
Freedom for Comrade Deepak and all political prisoners in India!
Long live the CPI(Maoist)!
Support the peoples war in India!
