INDIA – Announced offensive by the old Indian state

The home Ministry of the old Indian state has announced the construction of 250 new police stations in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, hand in hand with open repression comes the “development work”, with emphasis laid on the need to improve road and mobile connectivity.

The two states are of great strategical importance for the People’s War, led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) with the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) against imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism. Hence the reason for the bureaucratic old Indian state, the lackeys of imperialism, to initiate this new offensive. The CPI(Maoist) is to them not only a factor of great economic loss, since it expropriates the land from the imperialist companies mining in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh (the “development” of the Indian ruling classes), dividing it amongst the peasants, but politically it is the “biggest threat to internal security”.

Therefore the additional police stations, even though Chhattisgarh’s Bastar, a key area of the CPI(Maoist), that was arguably the most militarized zone in India already back in 2014. But even from inside the Ministry of internal affairs voices of doubt have been raised, if the troops of the PLA will not only conquer these police stations. A statement that does not sound very self assured.

The democratic, anti-imperialist and revolutionary forces around the world must stand in solidarity with the CPI(Maoist), the PLA and the struggling masses against this offensive of the old Indian state.

Long live the People’s War in India!

Long live the CPI(Maoist)!
