INDIA - Successful bandh observed

The CPI(Maoist) led a successful bandh (an militant strike) on October 25rd in the Kandhamal district of the state of Odisha. Streets were blocked with uprooted trees on major roads connecting to Berhampur, Phulbani and Bhanjanagar from the southern district of Rayagada for 24 hours.

The bandh, which left traffic “badly affected” was called by Comrade Mita of the CPI(Maoist) as an answer to counterrevolutionary oppression and to protest the sale of forest and bauxite mines to imperialist companies. The cadres of the CPI(Maoist) left posters urging the masses to fight against the forces of the old Indian state.

The counter-strike of the old Indian state’s forces stayed unsuccessful.

Down with imperialism!

Support the People’s War in India!
