IIn Indonesia‘s Kebumen regency, by Brencong village in Bulupesantren district, farmers have clashed with soldiers over a land dispute. The land in question, that belongs to the poor farmers but was annexed by the military, is the focus of dispute for decades.More than a dozent farmers are left injured after the incident that happened Sept 12th. In all oppressed countries, the big landlords are the enemy of the people, especially the poor and landless peasants. The fact that in Indonesia the military takes this role does not change this, but only shows how rotten the bureaucratic old Indonesian state is.An important part of the peasants struggle is preventing the military from setting up fences, as the one left unfinished in the picture below.
