On December 27, around 25,000 people gathered in the capital, Ulaanbaatar, to protest against the speaker of parliament and other government officials and demanded their resignation.
The people who demonstrated at -20 degrees call for an end to corruption policy.
The demonstrators have accused air pollution, rising poverty and inequality of wealth to Parliament Speaker Enkhbold since he took office as mayor in Ulaanbaatar.
Many posters with the inscription "We are for the resignation of Enkhbold" were seen. Also on the parliamentary side, meetings were boycotted by members calling for Enkhbold's resignation. Nevertheless, some Mongols realize that not only Enkhbold is coruppt and also demand the resignation of other government figures.
