On June 9, Indian state forces and People‘s Liberation Guerilla Army soldiers fought in the Jamaro forest of the Toramba area in Kuchai.
There was a fire exchange in the morning between the maoist forces and a team of the 209th battalion of the CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) and Jharkhand Police officers. One CoBRA commando officer and was killed and one police officer succumbed to his injuries on the way back.
