The US-Imperialism is the biggest enemy of the entire humanity, because they are the biggest Imperialist on this planet. On every continent, they have their colonies, and they oppress and exploit the masses in the USA, too. With the Trump administration, the most reactionary representatives of the financial capital are in power. One of their last attacks on the masses was advancing Gina Haspel, who has ordered torture methods on prisoners countless times in her previous career, to becoming the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). This was confirmed on May 17.
She got in this position also with the support from senior Obama administration officials and six votes in her favor from Democrats in the US Senate. This shows how every fraction of the ruling class has interest in her getting in this position and following the aggressive and more openly fascist course of the US ruling class.
She stands in favor of all attacks on the masses that happened during George W. Bush´s “war against terror” and played a big role in the George W. Bush administration's detention and interrogation program herself. And it's no secret that Trump has said that “torture works”.
Here is Gina Haspel's fragmentary resume:
She joined the CIA in 1985 and worked undercover for 32 years. One of her first actions was going to Addis Abeba in Ethiopia during the Ethiopian civil war, in which the monarchy was overthrown in 1974 and a lot of self-proclaimed Marxist and Marxist-Leninist forces were fighting. Later for her work in the CIA, the went to Baku in Azerbaijan, which used to be part of the UdSSR. Afterwards she was advanced into the Counter Terrorism Center of the CIA.
In October 2002, she went to Thailand, were she lead an officially not existing prison, also called black site. Before her career in the prison, there were confirmed cases of waterboarding, and the CIA Agents kept using this method of torture and others under her direct supervision. Some Examples are chaining detainees to the ceiling for days, naked or in diapers; slamming them into walls, and depriving them of food or sleep. Also under her direct order, videos and tapes of the torture that happened in the prison were destroyed in 2005.
There have been different kinds of protest against Gina Haspel and the other representatives of US-Imperialism. Demonstrations against torture and those who demand it to be practiced legally took place, and during her Senate hearing, multiple activists interrupted it by screaming things like "Bloody Gina!".
Chairman Mao Zedong said in "U.S. Imperialsm is a paper tiger" : "Now U.S. imperialism is quite powerful, but in reality it isn't. It is very weak politically because it is divorced from the masses of the people and is disliked by everybody and by the American people too. In appearance it is very powerful but in reality it is nothing to be afraid of, it is a paper tiger. Outwardly a tiger, it is made of paper, unable to withstand the wind and the rain. I believe the United States is nothing but a paper tiger. History as a whole, the history of class society for thousands of years, has proved this point: the strong must give way to the weak. This holds true for the Americas as well. Only when imperialism is eliminated can peace prevail. The day will come when the paper tigers will be wiped out. But they won't become extinct of their own accord, they need to be battered by the wind and the rain."
