As many as 743 candidates, including 242 women, have been recruited by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, for an all-tribal battalion being raised to fight maoists. By this the old Indian state is trying to turn the people against the people and gain more influence over the revolutionary masses in Chattisgarh, which is one of the regions where people’s war is the strongest. But this tactics won’t work out, only a small number joined the program, they even had to decrease the recruiting standards. That clearly shows how strongly the masses support people’s war and it’s leadership the Communist Party of India (maoist). The despair of the old Indian state has to be very high, if it even attempts to recruit new troops from the tribal community. This is an attempt to create confusion among the struggling masses after the increase of military operations by the military forces of the revolution, the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army.
