Last Sunday, May 31st, a demonstration against police violence and genocide was attacked by military police in Rio de Janeiro. The police forces fired tear gas on the demonstrators, who resisted resolutely! The masses of the favelas demonstrated and resisted against the continuous and increasing police violence, terror and against the war against the people. The latest victim of the police forces was Matheus Henrique Oliveira da Silva (23). He was killed the day before by a shot in the head during a police operation in a favela. On 18 May, João Pedro was shot in his house by the military police during an operation in São Gonçalo.
