At least eight Maoists, including four female cadres, were shot dead in mid-month fighting on the borders between the Dantewada and Bijapur districts. Sometimes several weapons were confiscated.
In the district Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh) the body of Jarina was discovered. She was a member of the party since 2005 and has been prosecuted for attacking the police. Again, weapons and material were confiscated.
